The Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas, Inc., and Insurance Employment Service, Inc., collectively “IIAD”, respect the privacy rights of individuals who visit, use and interact with the iiadallas.org. Information may be collected during your visit to our site in order to allow IIAD to provide better services. IIAD is concerned about treating this information with care, and to protect your online privacy has implemented the following policy.
What Information does IIAD Collect?
Most of the data IIAD collects is used only to help IIAD better serve its members. It is our general policy to only collect and store personal information that our members and visitors knowingly and voluntarily provide.
IIAD does not collect any personal information from users browsing our website. Users to the public areas of the IIAD website browse anonymously. Only aggregate data, such as the number of hits per page, or what domain the user came from, is collected. Aggregate data is only used for internal purposes to measure traffic on the Site. The information is collected automatically using a “cookie” or small text file placed on the User’s hard drive by the User’s Internet browser. The cookie allows IIAD to track the number of hits or visits to various pages on the Site. The cookie is used only during a single connection to the Site and is not used to track User activity after leaving the Site. The cookie is permanently disabled when the User exits the Site, and information about individual Users is not collected, saved or distributed to others by IIAD except as provided for in this Policy.
Information may be obtained and/or retained from Users to :1) process event, luncheon and course registrations; 2) facilitate participation in activities/committees; 3) facilitate the use of any fee-based services. Information about Users for registrations may be provided by IIAD to exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and others in any media, including electronic or print form.
Products, Services and Survey Information:
Information may be obtained and/or retained to process orders for products and/or services offered by IIAD. IIAD also may obtain and/or retain information about Users who participate in surveys conducted by IIAD. Generally, IIAD will use data collected to improve our own web contents; to respond to members’ and visitors’ interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services. Product, Service and Survey Information about Users also may be provided to third parties, as described in the section called “Information Provided to Third Parties” below.
Credit Card Account Information: IIAD does not disclose or retain credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, IIAD submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse but does not retain the credit card information.

IIAD’s website contains links to other websites. IIAD has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies, collection of data policies or content of such sites, and the users of the IIAD website “click through” at their own risk.
Information received from Users via e-mail may be used by IIAD and may be provided to third parties as described in the section called” Information Provided to Third Parties” below.
IIAD makes member contact information available through the “Members Only” login area of our website. To gain access to “Members Only” resources and personalization features on the IIAD website, members and other users may be asked to register and provide some limited information. These data are submitted voluntarily. IIAD asks users to provide their name, organization name, business phone, and e-mail. Similar information may be submitted to IIAD through membership applications, conference, luncheon or seminar registration, publication orders, subscriptions and contest registrations.
You have the right to request access to the personal information that is maintained about you on the Site to ensure that it is accurate and current. You also can make corrections, amendments or deletions of any personal information maintained on the Site.
